Here are some of the movie nights we've had in the past:

Tips for running a movie night with the minimum of hitches.

• Add event to the Events calendar.
• Put a up outside the entrance.
• Copy movies and VLC from removable media and play from the PCs HDD if possible.
• Go into Task Manager and kill the auto log off process to prevent the PC locking itself.
  • You may need to have someone near the PC to move the mouse now and then to avoid screensaver kicking in.
• Have someone (preferably treasurer) sitting near entrance to collect entry/pizza money as people arrive.
• Collect pizza money and place pizza order before starting - order it to be ready at end of first movie (check duration of movie).
  • Order ratio tends to be mainly meatlover and supremes, with some hawaiian and a veg/cheese for any vegos/vegans.
  • Remember to use our vouchers!
• Have an intermission for pizza eating, optimally between the first and second movie.
  • Show something short and lighthearted during the intermission - if it's in theme, even better. Keep the lights on.
• Remember to leave the room tidy - return furniture to position, get rid of any rubbish, take all our stuff with us (including door poster).

List of possible themes for upcoming movie nights. Add more as you like! Nights dedicated to a single series/show have been decided to have too limited appeal, so don't suggest a single series/show as a theme.
